At Kokushikan University, our single cherry tree has blossommed, and on April 1, the new academic year has commenced.
"The Faculty of Engineering", where I teach and have my Kunihiro Laboratory, has become "the School of Science and Engineering".
New freshman class is now on campsus, learning the ropes. Along with my architectural practice and the civic service duties as an architectural professional,
my teaching duty will resume in a week. With the young new faces of the freshmen running about, it is certainly a very exciting week on our campus.
国士舘大学では、世田谷キャンパスでは唯一の桜の木が満開を向かえ、そして4月1日が訪れた。平成18年度新学期が始まった。僕が所属する「工学部」は「理工学部」として生まれ変わった。新一年生がキャンパスに現れ、大学生としての第一歩を歩みだしている。建築家として、また建築活動家としての役目とともに、授業を開講する教員としての役目が再開する。若い、熱い新入生がキャンパスに活気をもたらしてくれているなか、僕にとっては今週はエキサイティングな一週間となっている。
